Rimworld Smooth Floors

I ve researched this with more than a few google searches but still have not found the answer yet.

Rimworld smooth floors. The in game floor removal tool adding a soil floor using the tilled soil mod with the research it brought putitng a different floor on top and removing it nothing works. So unless you use concrete or wood floors the beauty is the same. So here s the thing. Beauty of room colonists are affected in mood according to their surroundings especially those locations where they spend most of the day or night such as a bedroom kitchen workshop research lab etc.

It has the highest cleanliness stat of 0 6. Carpets for instance can make bedrooms look nicer for. Then there s the problem of not having a stone floor everywhere especially if you don t burrow in mountains every time. It is recommended to be used as standard flooring whenever available as it more easily provides the pleasant environment bonus to your colonists not to mention it s free.

If you use the smooth floor command you receive very pretty floor. But now with royalty requiring laying flooring in throne room and noble bedroom i tend to just lay tile in my entire base. All stone tiles have the same stats but differs in texture. Impressive rooms boost mood of colonists that use them.

One of the floors that you can construct with your choice of sandstone granite limestone slate or marble. Flooring a frequent path will reduce the time required to walk between the two ends. Actually a smooth stone floor has a beauty of 2 i think same as stone tiles carpets and i think metal tiles. By contrast carpets are not as pretty but also boost room s wealth stat which in turn increases room s impressiveness. Sterile tile is one of the floors that you can construct. Sterile floors have a bonus to resist becoming dirty right.

This flooring does not require any materials to be constructed but it needs to be placed on rough stone and takes a greater amount of time to be completed than any artificial flooring placed on top. Rimworld goddess and knower of all things 8 points 4 years ago the one benefit to smoothed floors is that it s 3 beauty and wood is 0 beauty.
